Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes his side would have scored far more objectives this season if they had a striker like Sergio Aguero or Luis Suarez.
The Dutchman saw his side draw – with West Ham, a fifth such scoreline in their past nine games.
“The query is would Luis Suarez or Sergio Aguero score if they were here?” Van Gaal told BBC Radio Manchester.
“That is a query mark. You in no way know. I consider they would, even though.”
Van Gaal, 64, added: “We’ve produced adequate possibilities to score, so that was not the dilemma.”

The outcome implies United drop to fourth in the Premier League, failing to capitalise on Manchester City’s 2- defeat at Stoke.
The difficulty Manchester United face up front is highlighted by the truth Wayne Rooney and Memphis Depay have scored only two objectives every single in the league this season, whilst Anthony Martial has 3.
The club’s highest scorer is Juan Mata, who has discovered the back of the net four instances in the best flight.
‘You have to dominate, generate and finish’
The hosts were fortunate to escape with a point right after seeing the guests hit the woodwork twice at Old Trafford and though they are unbeaten at house so far this campaign, Van Gaal’s side have scored just nine instances in seven games.
Midfielder Marouane Fellaini missed their greatest chance, shooting straight at West Ham goalkeeper Adrian from inside the six-yard box, before the house side have been booed off the pitch by their own supporters.
“The most important point is you dominate, create and you finish. Football is about scoring objectives. The very first two standard aspects of football we have completed,” Van Gaal added.
“When you don’t finish from a metre in front of an empty goal, you can not say something much more. You have to finish and that’s the only problem we have. We played extremely nicely especially in the second half – but you have to finish.
“The goals are coming. That is my powerful belief.”
United face a trip to Wolfsburg in the Champions League on Tuesday, knowing they should match PSV Eindhoven’s outcome against CSKA Moscow to make it by means of to the knockout stages.
